In January 1998, Antonio J. Jardim da Silva, a professional with wide experience in industrial equipment designing, manufacturing and assembling, founded Promec Serviços Mecânicos Ltda.
Using his savings, he set up a small workshop (50m2) with a bench lathe, a milling cutter, and lots of stamina, aiming to offer the best quality possible. He started manufacturing components and small equipment units targeting the water/wastewater treatment sector. He gradually increased his business and attracted customers. The profits generated allowed him to buy more machines and equipment, and his business turned into a large industrial complex specialized in supplying equipment to the water/wastewater treatment industry.
In early 2003, when Promec moved to a new location, covering a 250m2 area, it expanded its plant inventory to include a large number of machine tools, such as lathes, milling cutters, planers, drills, plasma cutting machines, MIG/MAG/TIG welders, and state-of-the-art support equipment.
In the same year, the company signed a partnership agreement with Centroprojekt do Brasil S.A., its best customer, accounting for almost 100% of its revenues, to manufacture, on an exclusive basis, small and medium-sized water/wastewater treatment equipment.
Today, the company's 700m2-plant is located in the district of Interlagos, São Paulo, where it maintains a host of high-quality equipment and highly-qualified professionals. The partnership brought us superior experience and know-how, enabling us to offer specialized design, planning, and manufacturing of customized and high-technology equipment.
